- Who needs it
- Carriers of SENT-listed goods (fuel, oils, alcohol, tobacco) on the whole route through Poland.
- How it works
- Tracker on the truck → Wialon → SENT-GEO. Automatic, the driver switches nothing on.
- What it costs
- Wialon 195 UAH/mo + SENT connection 500 UAH. EU carrier kit — 8,599 UAH.
If your truck carries fuel, lubricants, alcohol, tobacco or other goods on the SENT list into or through Poland, the carrier must send the vehicle's location to the SENT system for the whole route on Polish territory. A Wialon SENT integration does this automatically: the tracker on the tractor unit sends coordinates to Wialon, and the platform forwards them to SENT-GEO. The driver does not have to switch anything on, and you avoid fines for missing location data if everything is set up before the first trip.
What is SENT and who does it apply to

SENT is Poland's goods transport monitoring system, run by the National Revenue Administration (KAS). It was introduced by a 2017 law, and the obligation to send vehicle geolocation has applied since 2018. The idea is simple: see where goods most often linked to tax fraud are actually going.
The rules apply on Polish territory, but they also cover Ukrainian carriers. If you import, export or transit goods from the SENT list, you must send location data too. The list includes, among others, fuels and lubricants, ethyl alcohol and dried tobacco. The full current list is published by the Polish Ministry of Finance on the official portal sent.mf.gov.pl.
Who is responsible for what
- The consignorfiles the SENT notification and receives its number.
- The carrieradds the vehicle details and keeps location data flowing without gaps.
- The drivercarries the notification number and its key.
- The consigneeconfirms receipt of the goods.
What fines can a carrier face
Sending location data for these shipments is an obligation, not a recommendation. If no data arrives or the track has long gaps, the carrier is fined. Separate penalties apply to the consignor and consignee for errors in the notification. The amounts are set by the Polish SENT law, so check the current figures on the official portal before the trip.
In practice, fines rarely come from having no tracker at all. They come from small things: a flat tracker, a SIM card without roaming, or a plate number in the notification that does not match the one in the tracking system.
How the Wialon SENT integration works
Location data can reach SENT-GEO in two ways. The first is a separate locator that the carrier buys just for SENT. The second is an external location system (ZSL): a tracking platform that already receives data from your tracker. Wialon works as exactly that kind of external system.
| Separate locator | Tracker + Wialon | |
|---|---|---|
| Hardware | One more device in the cab | The tracker already fitted to the truck |
| Driver's job | Switch on and charge the locator | Nothing, data is sent automatically |
| Fleet tracking | No | Routes, mileage, idling, fuel |
| e-TOLL | Separate | Can be set up in the same account |
What you need to connect
- A GPS tracker on the tractor unit, wired to the vehicle's power. Models from our GPS trackers for SENT and e-TOLL range will do.
- An account in Wialon Hosting. The fee is 195 UAH per month or 899 UAH for 6 months.
- Carrier registration on the Polish PUESC portal, where SENT notifications are filed.
- Data forwarding from Wialon to SENT-GEO. The steps are described in the Wialon help centre, or we can do it for you: see our SENT integration service.
What to check before a trip to Poland
- The tracker sends data without gaps: the last 24 hours in Wialon show a continuous track.
- The SIM card works in EU roaming and has enough data for the whole trip.
- The tracker runs on vehicle power, not only on its own battery.
- The plate number in Wialon and in the SENT notification is identical, letters included.
- The driver and the dispatcher both have the SENT notification number.
Polish toll roads use a separate system, e-TOLL. The same tracker and Wialon can send data there as well, so the driver does not need another device. The e-TOLL rules are on the official site etoll.gov.pl.
What the integration gives a carrier
- The driver does not have to switch on or charge a separate locator.
- One tracker covers SENT, e-TOLL and your own fleet tracking.
- The track history in Wialon helps if an inspector has questions about the route.
FAQ
Do I need SENT integration for ordinary cargo?
No, the obligation to send location data applies only to goods on the SENT list. If you carry furniture, building materials or machinery, you usually do not need SENT. Still, check the commodity code for every new contract, because the list changes from time to time and a mistake costs more than a check.
Can I use the tracker already fitted to my truck?
Yes, as long as it is connected to Wialon and sends data reliably. Most modern truck trackers work without replacement. We will check the model and its settings before you send the truck out, and tell you whether anything needs changing in the power wiring or the SIM card.
What happens if mobile coverage drops on the road?
The tracker stores points in its memory and sends them as soon as the connection is back. Short gaps usually cause no trouble, but long ones are worth avoiding. Use a SIM card that can switch between several networks in roaming, and do not cut power to the tracker during stops.
Who sets up data forwarding from Wialon to SENT?
You can set it up yourself by following the instructions in the Wialon help centre. If you would rather not, we will do it: connect the tracker, create the unit in Wialon Hosting and check that data reaches SENT-GEO. All that is left for you is to fill in the notification before the trip.
