Why is GPS mileage wrong during air raid alerts?
When electronic warfare is active, the tracker loses satellites or gets false coordinates. The track jumps and the mileage is miscounted. A CAN tracker reads the mileage from the vehicle’s odometer, just like the dashboard.
Will CAN work on my van?
The data available depends on the make, model and year. We check your van by VIN before installation and tell you exactly what you will see.
Will the system show engine fault codes?
If the vehicle sends them over OBD or CAN, yes — Wialon shows them to your mechanic. We can tell what your vehicle sends by its VIN.
Our sales reps drive their own cars. How do we calculate allowances?
An OBD tracker plugs into the port with no installation, and the report shows the monthly mileage. You need the rep’s written consent.
Do I need to tell drivers?
Yes, in writing — by an order or an annex to the contract. We will give you a template.
